Both sets of grandparents spent time with Gabrielle and Alaina the week they were born. Jan's mom, who the girls will call Bubbe, and Steve made two trips from Rhode Island to visit the little ones and Bubbe is coming back in a few weeks to spend the weekend. My parents, Grandma (who still hasn't decided what she wants to be called) and Tex (it's a long story....), were in Italy celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary when they got the news about the girls, but 36 hours later they were in NYC to see their first grandchildren. Gaby and Alaina are so lucky to have four grandparents who love them so much!
Yesterday, my mother came down for the day to spend some more time with the girls. It's been a week since she last saw them and she was surprised to see they've grown already. I don't think they've actually gotten bigger but they have filled out. Since we see them everyday, it was nice to hear from someone else that they're looking bigger and stronger. That's so nice the girls are getting visits from the abuelos & abuelas ;)
Even in pictures they do look bigger and stronger!!! Hang in there, before you know it they will be in your arms!!!
