16 Months Old!

Happy 16 month birthday Gabrielle and Alaina!  In the past month, we've watched our babies turn into toddlers.  They are so incredibly mobile these days, crawling and cruising everywhere.  Alaina has taken a few tentative steps and Gaby has learned how to climb.  Both girls are chatting up a storm - Gaby constantly says her favorite phrase, "yucka yucka" - and they seem to have developed their own little language that only they can understand.  Gabrielle loves to dance and clap, while Alaina's favorite pastimes are climbing stairs and snuggling with her stuffed Sesame Street friends.  They're both still teething - Gaby has two teeth on the bottom and four on top now and Alaina has two on the bottom and is finally cutting two on top - and they eat just about anything.  They got to try chocolate pudding for the first time over Christmas and I think saying they liked it would be an understatement.

Now that they're getting bigger, Gabrielle and Alaina have turned into little fashionistas.  They regularly rock their skinny jeans and baby Uggs.

And we can finally get them to wear barrettes in their hair!

But the best part of watching the girls grow up is how close they're getting.  They love to crawl and chase each other around and they generally spend most of nap time playing hide and seek in their cribs.  They really are best friends.

I can't wait to see what the next month brings!
